Bicycle for Life

Brevets July 3rd and 4th 2010
600k, 400k, Double 300k or Double 200k

The routes are somewhat to very challenging routes in places due to the terrain, but not such that most reasonably fit randonneurs would not be able to finish on time. If your fitness is low or your stop times are long then time will be tight. Some of you may need a triple or low gear compact crank. You will need to watch your stop times and site seeing times, so consider planning to keep a steady effort on the easier sections which you have a good bit of in different sections of the routes and there are quite a few long down hills too. Please save some energy for the hills and long rollers.

The Double 200k's and Double 300k's use mostly parts of the 600k route.
The 400k route is the same as the June 5-6, 2010 route

A number of people had asked for something different,
so, the various route options will allow you to get your 600k or 400k in
or allow you to split your ride into 2x300k with an overnight in the Mountains of TN area of Erwin, TN
or allow you to split your ride into 2x200k with an overnight in the Mountains of NC area of Blowing Rock, NC
Please note that you will need to make your own overnight stay reservations which are not included.

For those that are doing the 600k, Double 300k, or Double 200k a small individual drop bag may be used and can be taken to the overnight in Erwin TN or Blowing Rock NC respectively or near there along the route for you. The drop bags for the overnight plan to be taken to the official overnight hotel for you and picked up to bring to the Day 2 finish.

Please do not put anything in your drop bag that you cannot do without for a few days just in case we miss you or don't get them to you at the finish for some reason. If you do not wait at the finish for your drop bags, they can be shipped to you at your expense, BFL will not pay for shipping of items to you.

We will not be responsible for your drop bags or items in your drop bags.

There is no official SAG on any of these Brevets.
